As we begin a new year, it’s the ideal time to seek new ways to show your love for your furry friend and improve their quality of life. From nutrition and treating to full blown pampering, here’s a look at the top trends shaping how we can care for our beloved dogs this year (and always!).

It’s undoubtable that pet parents are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of diet on a pet’s long-term health, which is why sales of raw food and personalised meals are increasing and forecast to rise again in 2025.
Owners can look at factors such as their dog’s breed, age, and preexisting health conditions to make sure the food they eat keeps them in tiptop shape.
But don’t forget, as humans, dogs also can enjoy a varied diet that includes both nutritional meals and tasty treats; and this is detriment to their own wellness and happiness (and strengthening that pet to owner bond, of course).
Luxury Dog Fashion
At Ruffingtons, we’re all about showering your dog with the love and affection they so duly deserve. One of the ways owners can do this is by going above and beyond what they provide to their pet. With this considered, we think this year will definitely bring about an increase in responsible pet fashion.
This definitely doesn’t mean dressing pets up for your own vanity purposes, but considering what will improve their own wellness such as warm jackets in the winter and waterproofs (we all know a dog that refuses to walk in the rain, after all).

Just like humans, dogs can experience mental challenges such as anxiety and stress. It’s so important, after all, to help keep our dogs healthy in both mind and body.

Now more than ever our pets are our closest confidants, our bestest friends. This is only ever going to continue to be the case, and sometimes words simply aren’t enough to show our dogs how much they mean to us.
As Ruffingtons enters its first year as a business (we launched in the autumn of 2024) we look forward to being the backbone of creating more special memories between humans and their furry friends. Whether that’s being the ingredients to a special afternoon tea moment, or simply being the treat that brings your pet joy after they’ve done something worth rewarding.
